Keys to Parenting Twins (Barron's Parenting Keys)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (August, 1992)
Average review score:

Better than the othersI read this book shortly after having my twins. It is very easy to read and find chapters of what you're interested in or skip the ones you're not. I bought 2 other "twin" books--and of the 3 this is the one I felt gave he most useful information. It's not flashy, doesn't have any cute twin pics-- but the info is there. Not only does it explain twinning; but also household organzation, coping w/ 2 crying infants, sibling adjustments, potty training and school issues. The other books I read scared me-- lots of horror stories without any suggestions how to avoid it. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is a pretty dry read. But other than that this one is better than "Having Twins" and "The Joy of Twins."

Keys to Parenting Your Three Year Old (Barron's Parenting Keys)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (February, 1995)
Average review score:

Not bad, but there is betterThis book is one of the better ones I've seen on preschoolers, but it still failed to provide the kind of in-depth reference I really needed to parent my 3-year-old son. Instead, I recommend "The Preschool Years: Family Strategies that Work from Experts and Parents" by Ellen Galinsky and Judy David.

KGB today : the hidden hand
Published in Unknown Binding by Hodder & Stoughton ()
Average review score:

Great KGB defector storiesGreat insights on the KGB structure with interviews of 3 defectors, Major Stanislav Aleksandrovich Levchenko who escaped in a MiG, Colonel Rudolf Herrmann, and Canadian Professor Hugh George Hambleton. It was amazing to learn that there are 400,000 KGB agents and that the KGB spends so much money stealing information instead of developing it themselves. I plan on reading 4 of his other books that all got 5 stars.

KGB: Secret Work of Soviet Secret Agents
Published in Paperback by Living Sacrifice Book Company (August, 1979)
Average review score:

very realistic account of KGB espionageThe author does a good job of bringing out the philosophy of KGB by narrating illustrative incidents...though this book is not as famous as Robert Conquest's "the great terror", still is worth reading for some brilliant (at the same time disgusting) espionage carried out by kgb....

Learning to Paint in Watercolor (Barron's Art Guides: Learning to Paint)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (August, 1997)
Average review score:

A good start for beginners.Written in an easy-to-read manner, this book provides a good start for watercolor beginners. The book covers basic grounds in water color painting, from materials (paints, paper, brushes, easels) to techniques (how to use a brush, brushstrokes, stretching paper, etc...). Demonstrations of painting in one, two, three colors, highlights, along with techniques to render light, shadow, skies, water, vegetation, and flesh tones are also covered.
This book suits beginners who look for a rather suffice but not in-depth coverage of some of the basic aspects in watercolor paintings. Intermediate and advanced watercolorists certainly can live without it.

Let's Review: Math A (Barron's Review Course)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (15 March, 2000)
Average review score:

Good for the practice questionsI have this book and found it pretty helpful with studying for Math A. The book has a ton of practice questions which were very similar in style to the regents questions. My teacher had this book and many times the same questions would come up on tests that I had already done while studying. The explainations of things were pretty wordy and kind of confusing, so I wouldn't buy this book if you want things better explained to you. But I would say it's definitely worth buying this book for all the practice questions. I passed the Math A regents in January 2003 with a 90, thanks to a lot of the practice in this book.

Let's Review: Sequential Mathematics III (Barron's Review Course Series)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (April, 1997)
Average review score:

Great Book to learn fromThis book will clear up everything you need about Course III math. I was in Honors Math and my teacher was teaching so fast, and I was way behind. I brought this book and it cleared up everything. This book is great in catching up, advancing ahead of your class, and it was a major help in studying for the Regents, I got a 100 thanks to this book and the red regents book. If you study hard, do your work, listen to the teacher and go over the notes and problems in this book, not only will you pass the regents, but you will do very well on the regents, so if you're going into this class, BUY THIS BOOK AND BE PREPARED!

Wonderful intro to the Greek gods of TragedyThis is a book that mostlikely would not repeat itself in the world today. It teaches us to accepte the authority and accept the errors of judgement.
